Hello guys! I noticed recently that a lot of people post here looking to make friends and connections, but the age group is usually on the younger side. And so, since there seems to be a loneliness epidemic going on, I thought, why not try to create a community of like-minded people around a slightly older age group, but make it a bit selective too.

OKAY YES I know diversity and variety are important. But that’s not what people like me are lacking? We already deal with enough diversity, adversity, and randomness in daily life. What’s actually hard is finding people in real life who genuinely share similar interests, ideas, and values. Ironically, it’s easier to find like-minded people online from other countries than in your own city but that’s the lazy path imo.

Because it contributes more to loneliness and keeps us isolated behind screens, which weakens our social skills even MORE, and keeps us in our silly comfort bubbles (what a waste of life is it not?). At some point we need to grow some balls and actually make real life connections again.

I’ve been introverted my whole life, but I’m getting TOO OLD to treat lacking social skills like I'm a sigma male lone wolf or something lol, it’s not sexy or 'quirky' anymore. I have a desire now that I didn’t really have in my early 20s (because I used to be a self-centered prick) to genuinely connect with human beings again. I’m also trying to get rid of my cynicism and believe in humanity a little more again.

I also noticed that recently, platonic friendships are getting more underrated than ever, and that the entire focus has been on romantic relationships, which is sad, honestly.

I want us to create the kind of friendships we dreamed about when we were kids the type we saw in movies and shows. And no I don’t think it’s too late for that as long as we share the same goal.

Friendships where we can be authentic, discuss philosophy, AI, consciousness, art, society, and weird ideas for hours. Friendships where we can have deep conversations but also be completely silly and unserious sometimes, without judging each other. A group that actually appreciates fraternity, makes an effort to stay alive instead of dying after 1 monh, and does real things together instead of chatting behind screens, like trips, hikes, swimming, games, cafes, random adventures, or just chilling and vibing.

The age range we’re aiming for is around 25–40 Not because younger or older people are “better” or “worse,” it’s just the age group I think relates most naturally to each other at this stage of life. (You can obviously create your own communities and be as selective as you want too.)

What we’re mainly looking for are people who are trying to escape social media culture/brainrot, constant gender wars, traditional thinking, and intellectual laziness. People interested in original, avant-garde, complex ideas and critical thinking. Open-minded people who can question dogma from every direction (science, materialism, religion, politics, status quo,..) but also share similar hobbies and interests.

Right now, we’re already 3 guys, but we want to expand the group and give other people in our age range a chance to meet others like themselves. Especially people who are socially awkward, introverted, isolated, or feel disconnected. If we all share some social awkwardness, it would make meeting easier because nobody would feel judged.

And if you’re a woman, feel free to join too if the same interests and mindset apply to you.

We want this to be a safe space for people who genuinely care about human connection. And nobody cares about your income, appearance, sex, orientation, charisma, or education level here.
