Near the Marches of the Brazilian Empire lies tribes of people that believe themselves to be subjects of a grand king by the name of Miac'iil Jik'o Zoon. Legends attest that due to a curse his skin turned to a deathly pale color, which they honor by painting their faces white.

Gem, I've found on Xitter. The Nixon Foundation is, unironically, the only presidential library that has fulfilled its purpose.

In 1000 years all the historical sources left about America will be written by Esoteric Nixonites.

What would happended if post event sociaty found evidence that the presidents are just...normal people

Let's say a archivist discover a time-capsule, it's contents perfectly preserve and also has a english dictionary (with pictures) so it can be understoode

Inside it also are pictures and biographies of several american presidents, the context may be forgotten but it understood that it is about the lives of the americanist deity when they were alive

Who would the society around the known world react to this discovery

How far, and how have varieties of American English diverged in the 650+y after the event?

Mind you, I do play CK2 version so I might miss some of the things, but it seems to me that in the post-Event years American English might have become an entire language family with dialect continuua in some areas (great plains I think) where someone from south Texas could probably mostly understand someone from Oklahoma but not so much a person from the Dakotas while more separate languages develop in Appalachian area

Speaking of divergences, what potential linguistic developments would have occurred?

Not even the Event could stop America's Pastime. Baseball remains a popular hobby for both peasants and nobles in the Americas. Played on everything from empty lots to tournament grounds, it draws champion players and crowds who root for them at the old ball game.

I’ve been working for a while now on working converting the setting of ATE into one usable for table top roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons or Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Throughout this project I’ve tried to draw inspiration from the in-game religions, cultures, and real-life folklore to convert ATE from a setting that is historical to one that is fantastical.

But not fantasy role playing game is complete without a nice big bestiary full of monsters for the party to encounter. And I wanted to gather some community suggestions to fill in other parts of the wild worlds between the civilized societies of the 27th century.

Suggestions should draw from real world folklore from any culture or region on the map but im looking for some fleshed out details about where and how they live and what relationships with the human societies they exist against.

I’d love to hear everyone’s suggestions!!
