How far, and how have varieties of American English diverged in the 650+y after the event?
Mind you, I do play CK2 version so I might miss some of the things, but it seems to me that in the post-Event years American English might have become an entire language family with dialect continuua in some areas (great plains I think) where someone from south Texas could probably mostly understand someone from Oklahoma but not so much a person from the Dakotas while more separate languages develop in Appalachian area
Speaking of divergences, what potential linguistic developments would have occurred?
