Physical debit card at Costco

Are there any restrictions to purchases at Costco with my physical affirm card ? If I set up a planned purchase amount. Wondering if I can buy groceries with it while I’m there. Thank you!

Why am I getting denied?

I have updated buying power. I have two payment plans with them right now and am a long time customer.

Why am I getting denied?

It prequalified me for $13,500, then denied me and gave me this crap when I went to make a purchase. My credit score is around 800, very little debt. Very high income. Trying to purchase a luxury timepiece and figured I’d see if I had any 0% options through Affirm.

The only things I can think of are that I’ve never used Affirm before? When I joined, it literally only asked me for my phone number, email, and address. It didn’t verify my drivers license or anything else. How do I fix?

As a NY resident how do I fully delete my account and data?

So after 2 years, I finally paid off my Affirm payments, and honestly, I'm done using the app. How do I tell Affirm I want my account and data to be deleted, or is that only acceptable for California residents?

Real customer service help

I booked a shore excursion for a cruise in February and then later in the month paid it off. In April I canceled it and it was refunded. Affirm indicated they applied it to my loan, which is impossible because it was already paid off. I tried emailing customer service and got a response that basically said "dont worry you are no longer responsible for the loan". Has anyone had success disputing this sort of thing before? I paid off that loan in late February so the money refunded should have come to me. A separate excursion that was bought and paid off in a similar time frame the refund came through just fine.

Affirm payment issue

On Wednesday, affirm texted me a reminder to pay. The message stated to respond to pay now. When I responded, an error message popped up: “affirm cannot receive inquiries at this number”. I have tried several times.

Is this common?

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I tried to add the card to my Apple Pay, which I have done before and this page came up and on top of that my purchasing power is zero even though I've made all my payments on time..

How do I get affirm to offer me the option with a payment upfront and bi-weekly payments?

I’ve been using affirm for some larger purchases, and the option that makes you pay some at the time of purchase, and then does bi-weekly payments for like 6 weeks is my preferred way to use it.

I know it’s usually the 0% interest method, which makes sense as to why I am hardly ever offered it. But are there some ways to get it to offer you that? I’ve gone to purchase something on Amazon, couldn’t get the biweekly plan to show up, then went to a different website, and bought the same thing for almost the same price and got it to offer me the biweekly plan. I can’t seem to find a rhyme or reason for when it will offer that.

I really don't understand what's the point of purchasing power if you still have to provide a down payment for the no-interest plans.

I have over $1,000 in PP, but they won't allow the every-2-weeks payment plans to be zero dollars down ? Also, having to pay HALF or more down of the total requested?? Seems scammy.

I also hate that they say "we're not big on fees" when basically the down-payment and interest are fees.

Did I still get approved, I was researching and I’ve been seeing that it’s a glitch

When I go to the affirm app it shows the plans are there does that mean I’ve been qualified, what would it show if I was denied or am I denied, this is my first time using affirm.

May have made a fraudulent purchase, I’ve never used affirm before and I’m worried about getting out of it.

I began a loan to purchase something for myself and the website is way, way sketchier now that I’ve done the proper research. In all truth I was drunk when I made the purchase and should have done my due diligence but here we are.

I’ve paid nothing thus far and don’t have a payment due until next month but I’m planning on contacting them once the support line is open and I can speak to someone from affirm. My question is basically this: if I did make a fraudulent purchase, will they help me get out of my purchase if so? Just wanna know if anyone’s also found themself in this situation and if so how it went. I feel like a complete dumbass lol I should know better.

And before anyone asks it was a loan for a camera I quite want. I found it on eBay and saw they had a storefront on Shopify and figured “oh, buy it from here so we can skip the eBay fees” and did zero research on their merchant site or their eBay store. Just saw 100% feedback and ripped it. Rookie move.

Dispute

i have been arguing with affirm for almost two months now. i opened a dispute (or thought so, the person opening it completely botched it) against a loan that was for a product that i was completely scammed out of. i provided everything under the sun for it. i then later find out they opened a dispute for the wrong order despite me describing in detail which order it was supposed to be - so then i have to go through the entire process again and attempt to cancel the first dispute that they messed up. they were both for something over $70 but under $80. i find out yesterday that the WRONG dispute goes in my favor, the one that NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH. and i was HAPPILY paying, and that the one that I DID NOT RECEIVE AND HAVE PROOF OF THE MERCHANT SAYING HE SCAMMED ME, did not go in my favor. this will now be the 11th time i have called the customer service. i am begging someone to tell me what i need to do to get this handled because i am financially in hardship now as of this recent two months and i CANNOT waste $80 on something i did not receive and have EXTENSIVE proof on not receiving

Pay Over Time Limit vs Spending Power

Ok Redditors, I’m coming to the source of experience with Affirm.

So, I decided to use the pay over time plan for a purchase on Amazon, mainly just to establish an option for other potential purchases in the future.

I considered the physical card as just a convenience for use at a physical store but it seems that may not be the case. My “Spending Power” was a few thousand, receiving the physical card, it seems to indicate $30,000.

I’m a little unclear if that means I could go out and find a $20,000 car and buy it right there to drive home?

Or this a theoretical $30,000 limit? Seems like quite a jump, even if my payments are 100% on time and I have an “Excellent” rating for on time payments on my credit reports.

Either way, not looking for $30,000 in debt but just curious if it’s reliable source if there was an emergency my cards can’t cover, like a huge emergency vet bills for something I hope never happens to my dogs.

Thank you for any input

No option for Affirm as payment?

Hi- I just went to order the NAD+ and Glutathione bundle and when i went to check out I don’t see Affirm as an option. I JUST ordered my Tirz through Gimme a month ago and used Affirm. I’d like to keep my payment simplified.

Am I missing a step or is it no longer available for payment? I also wondered why it said I owe 405 dollars for the three month option when I thought it was $187 a month .

Affirm Limit?

Have 460 limit right now. Paid off a little over 100 in payments and it didn’t raise my limit. Was hoping it would. I need to make a purchase of 520. I’m going to use physical card. Did anyone have luck getting approved over the limit they have?

Sudden decrease in purchasing power?

I have been using affirm for about 4 years. I have paid off many loans over the years and my purchasing power has been $8000 for over a year. I logged in on Friday to make my payments on my loans for the next two weeks and my purchasing power was still there. Today I log in and suddenly I only have $860 available? I haven’t had time to contact customer service about it since I have been at work but I have never had a drop that dramatic before. It will fluctuate a little here and there but that was a huge decrease. Should I be concerned? I’m never late on my payments and even pay a little early sometimes. I have always just ignored the drops. I don’t especially need any loans right now. Should I just watch it? I didn’t know if it was a sign of a different issue

Edit to correct a small grammar mistake

Getting a refund

Through Seatgeek, I got a refund for an almost $1,000 purchase. I was only refunded the total of one monthly payment. I tried calling customer services but I am hard of hearing so I don't really know what they said specifically. Does anyone know the process or how long it took to get a refund for you?

Question on refund

So, long story short, product i ordered 2 years ago, caught fire, and the manufacturer from amazon did a full refund. Loans been paid off for over 2 years now, I got the credit and spoke to the rep, they're refunding it to the original payment methods I used, which, I closed out that bank a year ago. They've said now it's a wait until it gets rejected, and then file a "check for credit on account" process in a week once its sitting there. Is this how its worked for everyone? I'm not bothering to contact my old bank because, there's a legal reason I closed them. But anyone else run into a weird return/refund like this?

Charged 0.00?

Anybody have any idea why Affirm would randomly charge my debit card $0.00? I have an affirm account I have used in years and today I get a text from my bank saying “Transaction for $0.00 was approved at AFFIRM.COM”
