Wanted to share some old slides at my grandparents. Most likely Southern California and the date on the back of the slides is “Jan ‘77”

Walk around in the average parking lot, and you’ll find yourself in a sea of black, white, and silver vehicles. Watch Netflix at home or catch a film in the theaters, and you’ll get the same washed-out color grade on either screen. Glance at the logos of the world’s largest companies, and you’ll notice a shrinking palette.
It all points to one thing: color is vanishing from our world.
My car model is known for issues with the “chrome” peeling off the interior trim. Replacement parts were around $70, which seems silly for an 11-year-old car.
So…. I bedazzled it!
I used a UV resistant craft glue and two different colors of rhinestones, ranging in size from 2-6mm.
What do y’all think?? Unhinged, whimsical, or both?!

Hi all! First time posting here. So I've been doing little things for myself and others just to find the whimsy in my everyday life and it's been working great! I found this sub today.
The context for the pictures:
I made this as a wedding present for my cousin and her husband around a month ago and it was a hit! The first pictures are of the present on the front and back, and the last three are what I'm working on currently. I loved how the present turned out, although now, a month later I can see mistakes I didn't see back then. It's a carefully selected "bouquet" of flowers that mean different, beautiful things, according to Jessica Roux's book Floriography. On the back of the frame I wrote what each flower means and at the bottom I wrote "We wish you both all of this and more!" You will see from the picture that it's not in English. This is Bulgarian (as we are too). The newlyweds were in awe! My grandpa loved it so much that he now wants one for himself! The last three pictures are of some of the flowers for the frame I will build for him. I'm planning for it to be much larger this time, as it's spring here, and I gathered so many wild and garden flowers! Some of them are from his garden. One part that's truly whimsical to me about this whole thing is learning about all the plants i pick and finding out how much more there is to the mundane world around me. This is how I found out last week that a certain place around my city actually has swampy soil and how beneficial it is for all plants, so i may be taking some for my houseplants in the future. This is the best way for me to pass time while taking care of my 15 month old. He loves touching all the flowers and ladybugs. So yeah, turns out pressing and framing flowers has its benefits!
saw a bed of dandelions on my walk this morning and made a wish of course :) now i'm curious..what would you wis for if you found one today?
Decided to add a cartoon door to my living room from old New Yorkers 😁
Any decorations ideas are welcome! I’m not a interior designer whatsoever.

Just found this group, and I’ve been having the thought lately that I need to find the whimsy in my life again. I flipped through my camera roll and found this picture I took a few weeks back and I hope you all will enjoy. I love the bold trio of color and that the owners have kept the old mature plants.
Finally started adding whimsical detail to my space with free hand paint designs. Making where I live where I want to live. 💗
