So my fiancé and I both pay for A List and typically see at least 1-2 movies per week. Each time we go we get a large popcorn and drink to share. The popcorn pass seems like it would be a good choice for us, but I wanted some opinions. For those who have the popcorn pass, is it worth it? Are there a lot of exceptions, or is it truly “half off 1 popcorn a day”? Thanks everyone!
Okay so, I had a job interview on Monday for AMC and found out I got the job at night. They said I start training in two weeks. How long is training? What will I do in training?
SPOILER ALERT! 🚨🚨MICHAEL IS NOT a damn BIOPIC! This is NOT a story about Michael Jackson, there was no story, this was a CONCERT and for that reason i absolutely HATED it. Biopics actually have a deep storyline, think RAY, ELVIS, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON. How do you mess up the story for arguably the greatest entertainer of all time? This should have been PHENOMENAL.
All the crazy stuff that happened with Michael, the family betrayals and fighting over the money, his father mentally and physically abusing him, his never land ranch, the balcony incident, his marriage to Lisa, the child molestation incident, more story of his Vitiligo, NONE of these things were touched on. The amount of people saying they liked Michael is alarming.
I get if you don't care about an actual story and just enjoyed the music, but COME ON, this movie was marketed as a biopic and 95% of it was ALL MUSIC. It was no different than watching Taylor Swift in concert in the theater. Michael was a MUSICAL. I gave it a 2/10 for the phenomenal performance of Jafaar Jackson. The makeup was terrible as well, looked like they were all wearing prosthetic face masks 😂 What are your thoughts?
On weekends the price of a soda increases by 10 cents. This has happened the last 3 weekends at my regular theater, but not at other theaters. Not to mention the price of a large has increased $1 over the course of the last year.
Just finished watching Over Your Dead Body. Wanted to warn everyone that there is a serious almost-rape scene that comes out of nowhere and is treated like a joke.
To me, the joke was tasteless and ruined the entire movie. Totally unbefitting a comedy. I wanted to warn anyone who may be sensitive to this.
Neither of these ads ran and the 5:00pm movie started at 5:18pm. Still had trailers and digital screen and put your phone away ads.
This is just 2 examples of 2 different movies. Rockford 16 and Machesney Park 14 are a 15 minute drive from each other. No other competition but themselves. My gripe is that they don’t stagger the times of the movies. God forbid I would want to see a movie around 7pm. Do other theaters have this problem?

I saw a movie yesterday at 5:30 and I’m seeing another one today at 3:45. I’m not sure if I can use my popcorn pass yet or not. This might be a dumb question but idk if it’s a 24 hr thing or it resets like at a certain time at like 12 PM.
I got tickets to the Devil Wears Prada 2 Opening Night Event but my seat is doodoo. I want to attend (why I bought a ticket) but hate where im sitting and it’s completely sold out at my theater.
I’ve been checking daily in hopes someone, in a better seat, will cancel their ticket but so far no luck. Is it random when people cancel or typically have you found the closer the movie is the more people cancel? Or a specific time of day? Or is it legit just random and can happen at anytime.
If I can’t change my seat I’ll still go but I’d LOVE to be not in A10
Walked into the bathroom during the 4k showing of fight club, ngl i got up to refill my drink then realized i when i got to the drink machine that i forgot my cup so i just went to the bathroom since i was already out of the theater and that was sitting about 3 sinks away from me. did i just luckily find some random dudes fight club soap or were they giving them out??
