SPOILER ALERT! 🚨🚨MICHAEL IS NOT a damn BIOPIC! This is NOT a story about Michael Jackson, there was no story, this was a CONCERT and for that reason i absolutely HATED it. Biopics actually have a deep storyline, think RAY, ELVIS, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON. How do you mess up the story for arguably the greatest entertainer of all time? This should have been PHENOMENAL.
All the crazy stuff that happened with Michael, the family betrayals and fighting over the money, his father mentally and physically abusing him, his never land ranch, the balcony incident, his marriage to Lisa, the child molestation incident, more story of his Vitiligo, NONE of these things were touched on. The amount of people saying they liked Michael is alarming.
I get if you don't care about an actual story and just enjoyed the music, but COME ON, this movie was marketed as a biopic and 95% of it was ALL MUSIC. It was no different than watching Taylor Swift in concert in the theater. Michael was a MUSICAL. I gave it a 2/10 for the phenomenal performance of Jafaar Jackson. The makeup was terrible as well, looked like they were all wearing prosthetic face masks 😂 What are your thoughts?
