I’m looking for a music‑AI workflow that lets me edit an existing melody note by note, instead of regenerating an entire track from scratch.

Here’s what I’m trying to do:

• I already have an audio file made from my own melodies (played and recorded by me).
• I also have 4–5 AI‑generated variations based on those melodies.
• But sometimes there’s one single note in the guitar line that I don’t like. Ideally, I’d like to change just that note and have the AI regenerate the updated melody while keeping everything else intact.
• Same with vocals: I have a verse melody I like, but the chorus needs a few notes changed. I’d love a tool where I can tweak those notes and instantly hear the updated result.

I know I could just re‑record or re‑compose everything manually, but the point here is efficiency and iteration. I’m curious what tools or workflows you use for precise, note‑level melodic editing when working with AI‑assisted music creation.

Any recommendations for tools that support this kind of granular control?

I’ve been building out a series called “Transmissions” — each track is meant to feel like a place or state you step into.

This one is called Breaking the Surface.

The idea was:

• starting beneath the water (still, heavy, ambient)
• gradually rising into movement and light (more structure, more intention)

This is also the first track where I leaned more into original composition and direction, instead of letting it stay purely ambient/generative.

Trying to find that balance between:

• atmosphere
• and something that actually goes somewhere

Would love feedback on:
• Does the transition come through clearly?
• Does it feel more intentional than typical ambient?
• Too subtle, or just right?

Appreciate any thoughts — still refining the direction of this series.
