[Cinematic Ambient] Breaking the Surface — From Depth to Light
I’ve been building out a series called “Transmissions” — each track is meant to feel like a place or state you step into.
This one is called Breaking the Surface.
The idea was:
- starting beneath the water (still, heavy, ambient)
- gradually rising into movement and light (more structure, more intention)
This is also the first track where I leaned more into original composition and direction, instead of letting it stay purely ambient/generative.
Trying to find that balance between:
- atmosphere
- and something that actually goes somewhere
Would love feedback on:
• Does the transition come through clearly?
• Does it feel more intentional than typical ambient?
• Too subtle, or just right?
Appreciate any thoughts — still refining the direction of this series.
