So me & my partner we both have venus in the 8th house.. she has venus in taurus and i have venus in capricorn conjunct with ketu. Do you think this relationship is fated to be doomed since 8th house is the house of transformation & rebirth?
The 8th House (or Ashtama Bhava) often gets a bad rap because it deals with things that make people uncomfortable. But if you want to understand the true depth of a chart, you have to look here.
In Vedic Astrology, this is a Dusthana (difficult) house, but it’s also the house of unearned wealth and spiritual rebirth. Here’s the breakdown:
The 8th house is primarily the Ayur Bhava. It determines your longevity and the nature of your transformation (death). It’s not just about the end of life; it’s about the cycles of ending and beginning.
While the 2nd house is your bank account, the 8th house is other people's money. This includes:
If you have a strong 8th house, you’re likely drawn to the "hidden" side of life. It rules:
The 8th house is like a pressure cooker. It creates sudden, unexpected events (Chidra) that force you to evolve. It’s the house of scandals, secrets, and obstacles, but overcoming these is what leads to Moksha (liberation).
TL;DR: The 8th house isn't "bad"—it’s just intense. It’s where you go to burn away the ego so you can find what’s truly permanent.
What planets do you guys have sitting in your 8th? Let’s swap notes on how they’ve manifested! 👇
When the Moon is situated in the ascendant, it grants an individual a magnetic and charming physical appearance, often characterized by a fair complexion and an expressive, youthful face.
Since the first house represents the self and the Moon governs the mind and emotions, this placement creates a person who is highly sensitive, intuitive, and deeply connected to their feelings.
Such individuals are typically nurturing and possess a strong maternal instinct, though they may experience fluctuating moods and a restless temperament similar to the changing phases of the Moon.
They tend to be socially popular and find success in roles that require empathy or public interaction, as they are naturally receptive to the needs of those around them.
This position also suggests a strong attachment to the home and family, though the overall stability of the life path often depends on whether the Moon is waxing or waning and the specific zodiac sign it occupies.

I have had a pretty hard life so far, but NOT in a way that I am below poverty line. Food and shelter I always had, but inner world was always ridden with health issues, doubts, fear of people, failure, new experiences; almost like a psychosis. Even I have a pretty bad relationship with my parents but they are providing me shelter and food, so I am in two minds whether they actually want my growth or not. I am middle aged now, typical loser in the eye of society, don't know how life's gonna be.
