20 round group of what I planned on shooting for long gong 1050.3 avg 35.3 es and 9.9std. Sk standard.
Haven’t got my hands on sk rifle match yet.
Everything I shot today grouped well (did 10 shots per ammo with 5 foulers between switches.)
Best 5 shot group was this sk and Norma tac 22. Tenex had one good group and another with a flyer. Club wasn’t one hole.
I’d been wanting to try the Keystone Overlander for a while so I finally ordered one to go with the CMMG Zeroed .22 I had as an extra in the safe. Super quiet, super light, and pretty accurate at 40 yards on a windy day. I ran it with the 835fps CCI shown and with some Remington Standard V 1080fps.
Does anyone have a good handle on real world FPS speeds of 22lr ammo (vs what it claims on the box), ideally from a 12 inch barrel?
I'm trying to find a small sweet spot just below subsonic out of my dedicated AR22 12 inch barrel, but enough kick to cycle my action with minimal chance for malfunction even when dirty.
So far I know that RWS high velocity 40gr HP (1250fps) is below the sound barrier, and unfortunately CCI AR tactical 40gr (1200) is above. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Savage mkii fvsr in a oryx chassis. Agm spectrum mini, ocl ti22, mdt grnd bipod.
Saw one at Dunhams a week ago and fell down the YT rabbit hole cuz of the price. Wasn't a fan of the od green the store had and came across this beauty for $225 shipped.
I gotta say, this is an awesome .22. I recently got rid of a FN 502 that functioned like a damn toy and this made all those bad memories disappear. The DA pull is heavy as hell but right now that is my only gripe, considering the 502 is SA only..shouldn't even be a gripe. Mags are extremely easy to load and they are weighted so they drop easy. And it gives G19 vibes when in hand which is nice for a .22.
Throwing the suppressor on was a game changer. It was eating rounds that would make the FN choke like a dog. Not one failure and it was so quiet I almost forgot my ear-pro when I finally switched back up. Not to mention the look is chef's kiss.
This stands up to my TX22, P17 and my wife's P322. Gonna buy a second one once the wife shoots it and decides she wants her own.
I'll never sleep on budget guns.
got myself an MDT Oryx for my Tikka. Can't wait to try it out.
Ive been struggling with the final part of this upgrade. Im able to push the sear and latch the saftey on it but once it push the pin thru the hammer the saftey dosnt want to stay and cant line up the pin to go all the way thru.
Hey all, pretty new to shooting and was interested in picking up a .22 for practice purposes. I’m most likely choosing between the Super Wrangler and the Mark IV and was curious if anyone had any opinions or advice on picking between them? It will be nothing but a range toy, no hunting or anything like that.
First Week of PAL, Second Gun, is it "war-assault-style" enough in Canada?
I really like the black colour!
P.S. I've never fired a gun in my life or had guns but after seeing all them "assault style" “war weapon” bans and prohibitions for 22LRs every few months, I decided to get sum before everything gets banned. Primarily for collector purposes but eventually for some range sports shooting as well.
Anyone know how far back or forward that red dot should be? The riser allows the iron sights to be used on the rail and everything does line up perfectly through the gap on the red dot riser.
