Parcel arrived in Italy, so here’s my final review.

This was a Superbuy haul to Italy using European DHL Duty-Free Economy Line. Overall, the final experience was good, but the process was not smooth from the start because the parcel was initially packed too inefficiently and I got hit by volumetric weight.

That’s the main reason I’m posting this: not just to say “haul arrived”, but because I think the shipping side of this parcel is actually useful for people who ship to Italy/EU and want real numbers.

Initially paid: ¥638.21

Initial estimated chargeable weight: 6630g

Initial parcel size: 40 × 39 × 34 cm

After support review / repack: 4900g actual, 39 × 32 × 35 cm

Final refund received: ¥103.20

Final net shipping cost: ¥535.01

What happened

At first, I wasn’t happy with the parcel because the initial packing clearly pushed the cost up through volumetric weight. I contacted support, pushed the case, and asked them to review it properly.

To their credit, they intercepted the parcel, repacked it, reduced the dimensions, and later refunded me ¥103.20. So the final result was much fairer than the original one.

That’s the big takeaway from this haul:

for Italy/EU shipments, a few cm on the carton can make a real difference.

If your parcel has shoes and other bulky items, you really need to watch the dimensions and not just the actual kg.

This haul included:

4 pairs of shoes

1 hoodie

1 pair of track pants

1 phone case

1 screen protector kit

8 refill screen protectors

1 pair of socks

So yeah, not a tiny haul, and definitely the kind of parcel where bad packing can hurt.

Final thoughts on Superbuy

I’ll be honest:

the first packing was not good enough

I had to push support

and I don’t think the original price made sense

But at the same time:

support actually reviewed the case

they repacked the parcel

and they did refund me

So in the end, I’d still call this a positive final result, even if the process was annoying.

Yes, but I’d say this clearly: always check the parcel dimensions carefully, especially if you have multiple shoes in the haul.
