Does anybody have these (or at least the bridge) in a strat or strat like guitar and if so do they work well with 250k pots? I have the red, silver, and blue lace sensor set in my strat right now and I absolutely adore the cleans of every position but they sound awful distorted and the bridge just sounds like straight fizz. I’ve also tried the dimarzio bc-2 and it sounded very bland and muffled, though I was using a shittier amp at the time (orange crush 35rt) and maybe I should reinstall it and try it through my Marshall dsl40cr. I just want a bridge pickup that helps me approximate Billy’s tones, especially his more mid focused live ones and I don’t really have the money at the moment to go out and buy a full Z-one. Should I just keep my strat as is and save for said Z-one, retry the bc-2, or install a Z-one bridge into it? (I know the dsl40 has a reputation for being fizzy as well but I have an eminence swamp thang installed and my sg special sounds wonderful through it clean and dirty so it’s not the amp anymore at least)
