TI-Nspire CX II-T battery died suddenly right before exams - need URGENT help/advice
Hi everyone, I'm in a bit of a stressful situation and could really use some advice.
My TI-Nspire CX II-T suddenly stopped working properly this morning. The battery completely gave out. The weird thing is, it was already a bit problematic when I first bought the calculator, but I managed to fix it back then and it worked fine for the whole 2 years. I honestly didn't expect it to die on me right now, especially just before my exams.💀
Now the issue is: I'm in Poland, the battery (37L1200SPB) is basically impossible to get fast locally and online orders might not arrive before my math exam (May 14).
The calculator only works when plugged in, but that's not a real solution for exam conditions. The battery itself also feels like it may be swollen, so I'm assuming it's completely dead. I'm trying to figure out what my options are at this point. I was even considering desperate alternatives like third-party batteries (second photo - considering if that one would work) or temporary fixes, but I'm not sure what's safe or even workable.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? Is there any safe workaround to keep it working for a few days? Any fast sources for TI-Nspire CX II-T batteries in Europe/Poland? Or any emergency fixes that could at least get me through the exam?
I'd really appreciate any help or advice. I'm kind of stuck right now and running out of time.
Thanks in advance. 😭
