I’ve never really played an Elder Scrolls game before (aside from about six minutes of Skyrim) and I’ve run into a problem. I love the idea of playing Oblivion and being immersed in its world, but when I actually sit down to play, I don’t enjoy it as much. The expectation of the experience ends up being more appealing than the experience itself, and it keeps me from fully enjoying the game. The open world with its features and being able to chose to do so many things sounds awesome when i think about it, but ingame i feel hindered by the thought of what the game is expecting me to do?!

Do any of y'all have some ideas? I really want to enjoy this especially because my girlfriend loves elder scrolls games so much and spent so much time growing up playing these games and i wanna share these experiences with her
