Rare Bad Fit with Glamnetic

Super disappointed these didn’t fit well especially since I paid full price. You can see gaps between nail and press on. I know water is getting trapped so I’m planning on removing this afternoon. It was different packaging than my normal so hopefully this isn’t going to happen again if I don’t choose this type of glamnetic packaging. I also tried the sticky tab and glue combination for the first time so I’m not sure if these are coming off easily. Nails are so cute otherwise!

Testing a theory…

I had a theory that I’ve seen a few times on this subreddit. You can use any price nails as long as you cut them short and prep well. I bought a pair of nails that looked curved enough from the dollar tree and prepped really well. Overall the nails lasted four days with glamnetic glue and didn’t chip but creases were made when I hit my hand on something at work. I learned that specific nail curve shape does matter more than I thought. Also that press on nails can crease despite being short. I probably won’t buy dollar tree nails again unless I want cheap press ons for a couple days.

Theory: you can use any price nails as long as you prep well.

Conclusion: prep work is a huge part of it but nail bed shape is super important. You can put as much glue as you want and cut short as you can, but if it’s not the right curve or as sturdy as the nicer brands don’t expect more than a few days.
