Did you work with Agencies??

Hey creators/ Brands!!

Quick question for those of you who’ve worked with agencies to land brand deals or brands worked with agencies to get content for marketing —

  1. What % cut did the agency take from your payment?

  2. Did you actually enjoy working with them, or was it more hassle than it was worth?

  3. Would you go back to using an agency, or do you prefer finding brands directly?

Asking because I’m curious how the agency model is actually working (or not working) for creators on the ground. Would love honest answers!

Message in a bottle gifts looking for creator partners - 20%+ commission

Hello all!

Im Nick a former/part time carpenter who started an online business selling exactly what you'd think a carpenter sells...personalized message in a bottle gifts. Years ago I developed agoraphobia which agonizingly changed my whole life.

While I battle to get myself and a life back I wanted to build something I could do from home that actually meant something. Something positive, something that spreads love and shows people that others still care. Something physical that can be held because it's too easy to send a text nowadays. Our Message Bottles do just that, and they fill a real void in gifting - something more meaningful than just another card and more affordable than everything else, especially these days.

With limited content creation and social media experience I'm offering a 20% commission - which is $3-$4 on each $15-$20 product - because I could use some help. If submitting UGC I can go even higher for the right partnerships.

Check us out at messagebottleco.com. Helpful feedback always welcome.

With Mother's Day coming up - message me for a discount if you want to send one, or film someone's reaction to receiving one and I'll send it free.

Thanks everbody!

What would you tell your Day 1 creator self?

Hi creators!

I'd love to start a thread where experienced creators share their hard-earned lessons with those of us who are just getting started.

Some things I'm curious about:

- What content or niche decisions paid off the most?

- What mistakes did you make early on that you'd avoid today?

- How did you land your first brand deal or collaboration?

- What tools, habits, or mindset shifts made the biggest difference?

No gatekeeping — let's make this the most useful thread for new creators! Drop your tips below in the comments

Tired of paying agency fees just to connect with a creator (or a brand)?

We built r/BrandsCreators for exactly this — a community where brands and UGC creators find each other directly. No middlemen, no gatekeeping.

Brands — post what you’re looking for and get pitched by real creators

Creators — find brands actively looking for content right now

Direct. No agency involved.

Still early, so it’s a great time to get in before it blows up.

Come join r/BrandsCreators

If you’re a UGC creator or a brand running campaigns, I started a subreddit where both sides can actually find each other without going through an agency or a sketchy platform.

Creators: pitch directly, keep what you earn

Brands: find real people who actually fit your product

Still brand new so good time to join before it blows up

👋Welcome to r/BrandsCreators - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Hey everyone! I’m u/yellow-Bridge, a founding moderator of r/BrandsCreators.

This is our new home for brands and creators who are tired of the broken middleman model — where agencies take massive cuts, payments are opaque, and small brands can’t afford to run creator campaigns without burning through budgets on fees.

We’re building toward a world where brands connect directly with creators — no gatekeepers, no hidden markups, transparent payments, and real partnerships that actually work for both sides.

What to Post

Post anything that you think the community would find interesting, helpful, or inspiring. Feel free to share:

∙	Pain points you’ve faced as a creator getting paid (late payments, vague briefs, lowball offers)

∙	Challenges brands face finding the right creators without blowing budgets on agencies

∙	UGC campaigns that worked (or flopped) and what you learned

∙	Questions about pricing, contracts, outreach, or content strategy

∙	Tools, tips, or resources for brand-creator collaboration

Community Vibe

We’re all about being friendly, constructive, and inclusive. Let’s build a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing and connecting — whether you’re a nano-influencer just starting out or a brand running your first UGC campaign.

How to Get Started

1.	Introduce yourself in the comments below.

2.	Post something today! Even a simple question can spark a great conversation.

3.	If you know someone who would love this community, invite them to join.

4.	Interested in helping out? We’re always looking for new moderators, so feel free to reach out to me to apply.

Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let’s make r/BrandsCreators amazing.
