First overnighter on the Ogre
Did the first overnighter of the season on my new ogre build. The bike itself rode great, even though it was pushing well over 60 pounds loaded. It stayed pretty nimble and quick, I did have some really twitchy steering when I had loaded the front heavier, so I ended up moving some more stuff into the panniers and that made a huge difference. We had gusts over 30 mph but I helped lead a pack of mostly new folks averaging about 14mph, and an overnight low of 25 with some light flurries in the morning. For our first trip of the season we had 12 riders which I was super stoked for! It’s pretty cold and damp in our part of Wisconsin this time of year but everyone still had a blast. We had my ogre, a big dummy, two bridgeclubs, and a disc trucker on this trip! Anyway if you’re interested here’s the specs.
