How would you join a new ball of yarn here?

Flair is the best option I could think of.

I'm knitting a dress in the round. (Specifically White Karin by Lacelegance, though the specifics aren't very important).

It's pretty much all lacework. I'm knitting with lace weight 100% silk. I'm running low on my first skein of yarn which makes me think about how I want to join in new yarn. Can't go at beginning of a row since it's knit in the round. AFAIK silk is not feltable. I often tend towards overlap join but I feel like that will be more obvious with such thin yarn and all the lacework (though I might be able to use it in a section without YOs. I still worry it'll be very obvious. Plus maybe the silk is a lil too slippery).

The yarn is 2ply (Knitpicks Luminance). Would russian join work here? is there another method thatll work better?

Brand new Turkish spindle and undyed merino combed roving. I was struggling with some BFL, wasnt getting enough twist into it and it kept drifting apart I think. But now I'm feeling way more confident

This is a portion of the lace chart for the skirt in the White Karin dress by Lacelegance. The triangles are centered double decreases. This pattern is repeated a number of times depending on the size. It's also supposed to be worked in the round, despite the round numbers alternating sides as if worked flat.

The part I'm confused about is the even rounds 12 through 20, where theres symbols outside the normal pattern. My best guess is that when I start and end the round I should do an extra yarn over or CDD right before/after the start of round marker on that round, and otherwise just knit whats between the bold lines for each repeat? Is that right or am I misinterpreting?
