Sigma 18-50 to big as everyday accessories with a shoulder strap ?
I’m torn between two cameras. Fujifilm XS20 or XE5
I’m a complete beginner who wants to learn photography and should ditch my iPhone for photos and videos. I need to carry a camera with me at all times, either as a strap over my shoulder or in a small, stylish bag for men.
I can’t decide which camera to choose. I’m sure I’ll do more photography, but I’ll also shoot some videos. I’m not an influencer, so I want to take occasional great videos and maybe post a reel on Instagram.
One important thing is that I’ll need to buy a zoom lens because I don’t want to switch lenses. I’ve thought about the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 lens, which would be great for taking selfies with my girlfriend. Selfies (vertical) are really important to me. I know both cameras can flip the screen so I can see myself. I don’t vlog; I only take selfies and regular photos and videos.
This camera will be my daily companion when I leave the house. If I want to take a picture or a short video (seconds to minutes), I’ll only use the camera. For vacations, I’ll also use this camera to take photos and videos.
So, what should I choose? The XE5 is newer and has 40 megapixels. The additional video settings on the XS20 are nice, but if you read how I shoot videos, both cameras should be the same.
I am not sure what to do. I got the Fuji XM5 with the Kit Lens XC15-45mm and my plan is to do great pictures and also some reels on my instagram (with the ois that should be fine).
I am also trying to use this camera as my main video and photocamera instead of using my smartphone. So this would also mean I need to use the 15mm for selfies. I already bought a small TTL flash for the night (mainly for selfies or group photos with that lens).
Now I am a bit worried about the low light in general. So for selfies I got a solution with the flash but what about normal photos in low light? Am I okay with the kit lens?
I found out there is a sg image 25mm f/1.8 which has soft edges on the wide aperture and gets better when you step it down. It's also great in low, light and I can get some cool portrait shots with that side aperture. The issue is here I need always to swap to the kit lens if i want to do selfies. For videos without ois I am not sure how it will perform. I am a beginner in general.
So what to do? I understood for low light I will use maximum 15-23mm as I will have issues with the aperture with the kit lens. so what would you recommend? I am overthinking it 100% but want to have your opinion.
Thanks

Can’t decide what to do.
My phone is always with me. The additional camera I need to always kept with me.
Is the quality difference that big?
Which filter do you use for 90% of your pics without editing and with which strength?
Iam considering k1 as main with 30% strength and sometimes nc.
For editing I have several options in the app available
Im new to photography and the first 5 after writing with ChatGPT are the better ones I can focus on?
NC for landscape and sometimes maybe persons
K1 mainly for portraits and persons
CC mainly for landscape , street (everything which is not a person)
L2 alternative of CC
K5 for a much warmer look as alternative to k1
Did I get it right? What to improve ? Otherwise I am a bit overwhelmed and want to learn. Strength everywhere at 35%?
And is it correct to have the newest iPhone it will not be that much better ? Or is it worth upgrading ? I have the 16 pro max right now and wanted to buy the new 18 in September
