Can Lily in LECA

My Tropicanna Black and Cleopatra canna lilies were fighting for their lives on the patio in pots that were too big for them (my fault, I was (still am) a complete novice with potted plants). I was going to send them to the compost but I noticed how thicc the roots were and thought they might do well in LECA. It’s been almost three weeks since the transfer and the roots are EXPLODING… at least on the Tropicanna Black. I thought I ran out of LECA so the Cleopatras were sitting bare-rooted in the sun for a whole day, oops. They’re starting to catch up, though!

Silver Dollar Jade Pruning/Repot Advice?

I picked up this massive silver dollar jade along with some other plants (for free!!) on Craigslist. The original owner had it for at least 10 years in the same plastic pot and it would probably benefit from a haircut and some fresh soil in a breathable terracotta pot. I live in 10b.

I read that silver dollar jades are slow growers so I’m a little hesitant about a hard prune but completely understand if big cuts are needed (I’m looking at you, droopy branch in the front!). I also wasn’t sure if some of the leaves were simply scarred or diseased and could really use some guidance on what can be spread spared and what needs to go.

Also, do you have any advice for repotting a jade this big? I have a partner who can help me hold/stabilize the trunks but I’ve never repotted anything this big before.

Thank you very much in advance!
