My 7 year old has recently approached my spouse and I and said she wants to learn ukulele. Idk how dedicated she will be but this is one of the first things she’s expressed a major interest in, like reminding us several times a day that she wants one. And I want to feed and water that interest for her.

I‘ve searched for ukuleles online but I’m not entirely too sure as to what a good, yet affordable(in case this is just a childish fad) ukulele to buy for a beginner. I don’t want to get her a piece of crap that destroys her interest but I’m not looking to drop big coin for one.

Ive seen some(what I presume is) mid range items in the 50-100$ range and that seems quite reasonable but idk what manufacturer is quality or not.

Any advice would be appreciated.
