Front or Top Load Washer (Specifically for balancing)

I've given up on trying to make my mom stop putting one heavy ass thing like a rug or bedsheet and just starting the washer. She goes through a washer about every 5 years and I keep saying the next machine is going to be a front loader when this one breaks. But will a front loader be any different?

TLDR, is a front load washer better at dealing with unbalanced loads?

Also what are some good used/ refurbished ones and some good budget new ones. I already know Speedqueen, but my mom would break it all the same.

I'm just curios, I'm personally looking at Nissan Leafs, but a Volt is my second choice. Most of the ones around me have around 120k miles on them or higher. I'm just trying to gauge how much people are actually paying for a used Volt in that condition, in Mi btw.

PS: I'm new to actually using Market Place, is there a way to check what sold and how much it sold for on MP like ebay?

My commute is only 10miles to and from work with some occasional side quests every once in a while. My budget is tight, I'm hoping I could talk the owner down but I have doubts. I'm in the Midwest and need this to run year round, and have a 120v outlet to reliablly charge it. I've also really wanted to het into electric cars especially now that gas has hit the fan.

Should I just avoid electric all together or maybe consider a deal like this?

I want a UMPC but there's not a ton of options and some are expensive or basically collectors items. I just want something to run a full sized web browser on and that's basically it.

I was originally wanting a full linux distro running on a phone and use it like a laptop, so I could run any arm support apps along with web browsing. However another post kinda showed it's a bad idea with how Linux handles sleep and everything.

At this point I think most of what I need it to do can be done in a browser, what can I do to use the full screen size? An example is I use tinkercad for simple stuff and the UI of both that and my web browser fill the whole screen, leaving me no space to work. Any way I can fix that?

Edit: It's for a setup that can slide into my pocket, but have a keyboard and external mouse. Think of something like the Sharp HC-4100
