Obtaining Printout of House Deed From Local Branch?
In 2018 my father obtained a line of credit from Chase ($111K loan) using his house (which was paid off) as collateral.
We presume that Chase would have need a copy of the deed before lending money, and that they have a copy, and I think I overheard a Chase agent on the phone confirm this to my father earlier this morning, but I only heard one side of the convo.
My father went to a local branch to obtain a copy, with no luck, and now he is on the phone complaining that the branch agent refused to print him a copy and basically "did not want to", although I'm only hearing his perspective (and he does not speak to people in the friendliest of manners).
Does anybody know if it is even possible for a client of a home equity loan from Chase to obtain a printout of the deed (because he lost it) from a branch?
