How do i know if the antibiotics are working?

I was prescribed 7 days of Doxy and I am on day 5. My symptoms were pretty mild from the start, i was having a leakage / ammonia smell.

I feel very *aware* of how i feel now and it feels off. Not painful but like not natural. I’m worried the 7 days isn’t enough to clear the bacteria.

I went to my PCP to discuss a reoccurring issue that in my opinion does not fit the symptoms of ureaplasma. I started to have a "leakage" issue where end of the day my underwear was sometimes damp / not completely dry. My discharge was normal, my urination was normal, and the only odor was ammonia which checked out with the leakage problem. My doctor tested me for ureaplasma NAA and it came back positive. I started a 7 day doxy treatment and my partner is getting tested this week.

My partner and I have never had penetrative sex. He has given me oral once briefly but stopped because of the ammonia smell which is what promoted me to go to my PCP. The oral happened a month ago since he did not tell me there was a smell until recently. I guess I should have known but I guess I didnt think there was an issue idk. I dont feel like I had a UTI. Ive gotten BV once and a UTIs but it's been years and I remember how those things felt. This does not feel similar.

I dont feel like getting treatment for this is actually going to address my problem. Im annoyed that ive been STD tested far more times than partners ive had and this has never come up before. Im embarrassed my partner is the one who had to notify me there was an issue. Im pissed off there isn't much information on this. I feel bad I might have given my partner this.

Im just so lost right now.
