Hey guys, I just got my final mark back on student centre, and I wanted to confirm THAT THIS NUMBER IS MY FINAL GRADE CORRECT?
Ik dumb question, but I’m asking since at the bottom of the page it says “all decisions concerning academic progression and standing have not been finalized for this term”
just wrote the make up midterm for chemistry, and I realized I wasn’t allowed to take the exam home… I write in a accommodations, and usually this is typical where I’m not allowed to take the exam back home. But I assumed, since everyone was allowed to take the chemistry final back home, I could too. I like to check over my answers to see how I did and prepare for my final mark.
Does anyone know why they don’t let us take the exam paper home like the only reason I could think of is because they wanna look over the process work/double check our answers that we circled on the paper match the bubble sheet?!
Has anyone also wrote the chemistry makeup midterm for first year and were allowed to take it home!

I recently received an NOI from an instructor related to an exam answer pattern that raised concerns. I’ve never been involved in anything like this before and I’m trying to handle it carefully and professionally.
Right now I’m deciding between:
- submitting a written response, or
- doing a meeting with the instructor.
For anyone who’s been through the process before:
- How serious are instructor-level investigations usually?
- Is it generally better to respond in writing if you express yourself more clearly that way?
- What kinds of responses/helpful context actually matter?
- What mistakes make situations worse?
- If there ended up being a finding, what kinds of sanctions are typical in practice?
Not trying to dodge accountability or “game” anything — I just genuinely want to understand how these situations usually play out and how to approach it maturely.

I’m hearing from everyone and their mother that the 2257 course has obliterated their GPA?? Is this true, how bad is the course, what is it actually about??
