Someone just put over a hundred 1.0 ratings and tanked Veselka's rating from 4.6 to 2.5 in 1 day. Wild that someone would go out of their way to do this.
how we feeling guys? do u think we will get slaughtered?
Is it out, or are ppl trolling? If it is out, what did your teacher say?
In all the conversations I see about social life at western at least one or two people say they find friend groups are cliquey because people stick to their friends from high school. Is that true? How bad is it?
I also hear it’s because a lot of students there come from the GTA. I’m from the GTA myself but none of my highschool friends are going to western. To be honest, when I think about the type of friend groups that would be cliquey or not willing to branch out from high school friends/lifestyle it’s the “popular” type groups that I have nothing against but just wouldn’t get along with. I worry that I won’t find my people there.
A big part of university for myself is being able to separate myself from high school friends, life, and social scenes. If friend groups are cliquey or can’t grow out of that, I don’t know if it’s the place where I want to be.
5 years later and here I am with one exam left on Friday and I’ll be graduating from engineering. No more semesters, no more summer break, no more reading week, it’s all coming to an end :(
I got a job lined up in June and am taking a part of May off to travel, most of my classmates will be moving to the GTA and have jobs lined up too. It’s gonna be really hard trying to keep connections and stay in touch, it’s like when we were all in London that community was just there but now it won’t be (if that makes sense).
I’m excited about what the future has in store but I’m also genuinely concerned. Like if I’m gonna get laid off, if AI is gonna take over, if my salary will keep up with inflation, if I’ll develop the skills to be a competent engineer, etc etc.
For the class of 2026 folks, how are you coping with the transition? Do you have a job lined up? What are you gonna miss the most about your time at western?
Heyyy,
Just saw someone post on reddit they got their grade back. Is this true or not?
Who do I have to email to get this wiped off
why is everyone gathered around weldon looking like they’re about to catch something?
first year university didn't go as planned, didn't succeed in some of my courses the way i intended, coming back in the fall to finish pre-requistes for my module, what advice would you give to someone who's a little lost and bummed out over their intended path not working out? context lost acceptance to programs due to a failed course, retaking a course for a third time, but succeeded in all other parts of their academics. i'm just curious does it get better? and how do you end up building a beautiful and awesome life filled with memories. cheers for finals season.
the baby geese have spawned in, life is beautiful, dont worry about 1220 or chem 1302 twin.
Going into my first year of my degree I want to major in international relations does anyone have any tips or opinions on the class or professor?
I dont have a specific course in mind but I wanted to pose this question anyway. Classics courses are my go-to elective because I find them pretty interesting and not particularly difficult.
Im wondering what the jump is like from 2nd year to 3rd year courses in classics. How the exams change and how the evaluation changes if at all. I know with the courses for my program, everything was the same, just more difficult and with smaller classes.
Secondly, if anyone who comes across this is particularly knowledgeable. A shout about some specific courses you like or found relatively easy would be much appreciated.
I just did a proctortrack exam and my mouse accidentally hit the bottom of my screen and a search thing popped up. I clicked off right away but will poctortrack flag me 😭
Ive heard it’s so common to chest at western, and there’s a ton of students in all different programs that do it. I don’t plan on it obviously lmfao, but I know so many have been caught as well. What’s the consequence? And if you write with accessible education what happens, asking because I know they have you sign saying you don’t have any devices on you. Super curious, any comments are appreciated, thanks!!
I am currently in my 4th year. Definitely excited to graduate… but… why does it feel empty?
