What’s the best file sync software for Windows right now?

My current workflow has hit a major roadblock because I’ve been constantly switching between my desktop and laptop to manage client assets. Yesterday, I lost nearly three hours of work because my current cloud provider failed to sync a critical folder before I headed out for a meeting, resulting in a frustrating version conflict that I had to fix manually. I am now looking for a specialized solution that offers real-time, bi-directional synchronization without the lag I’m experiencing now.

Reliability is the only metric that matters to me at this stage, as I can no longer tolerate "ghost" syncs where the icons say everything is updated, but the files tell a different story. I need a system that handles large file sets and nested directories with zero margin for error.

And here is what interests me:

Which file sync software Windows users find the most consistent for multi-device workflows?

- Does the tool handle "active" files that are currently open in other applications without - crashing?

- How does the software resolve conflicts if the same file is edited on two devices simultaneously?

- Is there a way to limit bandwidth usage during peak working hours so it doesn't throttle my connection?

- What is the impact on system performance when managing hundreds of thousands of small files?

- Can I set up a direct LAN-only sync for security reasons, bypassing the public cloud entirely?

- Are there specific features for tracking a "version history" in case a sync goes wrong?

Total beginner here - is there a simple bond screener that’s not overwhelming?

Just starting to look into bonds and fixed income, but most screeners I’ve come across feel a bit too complex at this stage. I’m looking for something straightforward where I can filter basic stuff like yield, maturity, maybe credit rating, without getting buried in a ton of extra data and advanced options. Is there anything out there that’s beginner-friendly and not built for people who already know what they’re doing? Thanks 👍

I’m trying to figure out which crypto wallet apps are actually safe to use and which ones people should just stay away from. There are so many options now that all look fine on the surface, so it’s kind of hard to tell what really matters until something goes wrong. From your experience, what’s the first thing that makes you instantly think “nope, not using this wallet”?

Could be anything - bad UX, too many permissions, random fees, sketchy company behind it, anything like that. Just trying to understand what more experienced people look out for before trusting a wallet with funds.

At some point we realized we weren’t really doing support anymore - just answering the same “where is my order” question all day.

The weird part is we already had tracking in place. emails, status pages, all of that. People still kept asking.

Started looking for an app to reduce WISMO mostly out of curiosity, didn’t even expect it to change much. Trying wismolabs.com. What actually helped wasn’t more info, but the timing of it. Customers started getting updates before they felt the need to ask. It’s not like WISMO disappeared, but it stopped dominating the inbox, which was honestly the main goal.

If anyone found a better way to handle this without adding more tools, I’m all ears.

Maybe I’m overthinking this, but buying crypto directly with a bank card still feels kinda sketchy to me 😅

Not even talking about Bitcoin itself - more the whole process around it. Random fees, blocked payments, banks suddenly acting weird about crypto transactions, third-party processors I’ve never heard of… feels like there’s a lot that people only discover after something goes wrong.

At the same time, loads of people seem to buy BTC this way now like it’s no big deal.

So I’m curious:

  • do most people here buy with cards?
  • ever had issues with your bank afterwards?
  • any exchanges/processors you just avoid?
  • or is this one of those things that feels risky until you actually do it?

Would rather hear real experiences than “just use X exchange” replies tbh.

I’ve been looking into how different companies pick their lms for corporate training, and it feels like a lot of them end up running into the same issues. On paper most platforms look fine, but in real use things seem to fall apart pretty quickly - low engagement, messy content structure, or just tools that people don’t really use after launch. From what you’ve seen or experienced, what’s the biggest mistake companies make when choosing systems like this?

  • is it picking something too complex?
  • is it ignoring end-user experience?
  • is it not thinking about scaling early enough?
  • or something else entirely? Curious what actually matters most in practice.
