AI use in aespa's new mv
Just watched the WDA music video and i am distraught!!!😭 i am genuinely upset that aespa used as much AI as they did after I was a proud my, praising them for not doing so unlike groups like le seerafim and bp.
Also this is kind of unrelated but I am really worried for what sm has planned for them. I feel like back in the day the best thing about them was genuinely how unique and experimental they were, that no matter what the new song was it sounded different to the scene, and i feel like sm has focused less on that and tried to make them more generic and tone down the concepts. Who knows! maybe lemonade will save us all!!!
EDIT!!: I think this could also be worth discussing. I hate when the teaser came out and people were defending it because "actually their concept is AI, that's kinda the whole point" ok dude when they debuted the concept was much more about like the virtual world if anything, the ae members being their avatars/companions from the virtual world. and even iff!!! even if their concept was AI (which if it was im hoping it would be in a satirical way that generally holds a critical position regarding generative models) you can replicate the surreal slop-ish look of ai generated content with real human work, i mean for god's sake AI content is generated by consuming human made content, ESPECIALLY UNDER A COMPANY AS LARGE AS SM!!!!!
