What are the most creative ways you’ve seen a marketplace monetize? I will not promote
Built a small marketplace that’s starting to get real activity. Listings are coming in, people are browsing, and there are early signs that it’s useful.
I’m keeping it free for now to make it easy for people to join, but starting to think about monetization.
I’m aware of the typical approaches like commissions or listing fees, but I’m more interested in less obvious ideas.
What are some scrappy or unconventional ways you’ve seen marketplaces make money early on?

I'm getting 403 forbidden's and ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED intermittently but I see no status issues with Vercel right now. My app is inaccessible too. I just recently downgraded my app to the free plan because of lack of traffic but still that wouldn't explain not being able to access Vercel.com.
I made a small “AI capabilities lab” for ChatGPT use cases
I’ve been going down the ChatGPT rabbit hole and started collecting all the random useful things it can do.
So I made a little experiment:

It’s basically a place to share/browse actual capabilities, like:
- turning a rough idea into a landing page
- converting a screenshot into frontend code
- cleaning up chaotic notes into something usable
Still early, but kind of fun to scroll through.

Built a simple map to see what people are building around the world
I built a simple map showing where people are building and what they’re working on

I was curious what it would look like if you could zoom out and see builders around the world instead of just scrolling feeds.
It’s still early and a bit rough, but it’s already interesting seeing clusters form.

Was feeling super vibey tonight and was thinking about the mood map app I came across recently and wanted to build a mood map for app builders.
