Turbo/Diverter Valve Noise - Normal?

I recently installed a CTS Turbo intake and Turbo outlet pipe on my 23 S3, and definitely more induction noise but it's different than I expected. Previous MQB Cars I had would let off more of a flutter/compressor surge type sound when letting off the gas with boost loaded. In this case it's more of a straight up venting air- "pshhhh", like a more typical blow off valve sound. Is this normal? Were my previous cars' diverter valves not working? Any experience would be helpful, as I don't necessarily think something is wrong because no boost leaks found and it's a pretty simple install, more just curious.

First few mods done to the S3, keeping it fairly light at the moment as I plan to avoid affecting reliability or driveability too much.

Popped on a painted black front lip really feels like the car has a chin now, helps the silhouette of the front end a lot imo. Also ditched the small factory deck lid for a more aggressive carbon fiber one. Thought it may be too much but I ended up really liking it. Got a few more carbon accents coming including mirror caps and a few small trim pieces.

Also flashed an Integrated Engineering Stage 1 tune(ECU only for now) and feels like it really woke the car up from the factory tune. Followed up by installing a CTS Turbo intake and turbo outlet pipe, these may be relatively performance neutral but I do like hearing the induction more.

Just picked up this 2023 S3 P+ with 7600 miles on the odometer. Has pretty much every optional package except for option carbon fiber exterior stuff. It was a lease trade in and feels basically brand new. Came from a 2018 Golf R 6mt and so far I'm really impressed with this thing. Feels very quick, very comfortable and lots of nice tech for a daily driver.

I've always been into modifying cars, so naturally I've got some plans for her. Lowering springs, a few carbon exterior bits, intake/exhaust in the short term.
