Which of these HBO Shows should I watch next?

These are all on my list so will get to them eventually but I can only choose one right now with young kids, I don't have much time but looking to start one of the following for a show to watch over the summer.

- Boardwalk Empire

- Deadwood

- Six Feet Under

- Carnivale

I’m just going through the emotions and seeking some fellow dad opinions on this. Maybe I’m taking it harder than I should?

Let me start by saying that I’m lucky I have a dad who is in decent health and an overall good man but has lacked any real emotional maturity in my life. Kinda of the typical boomer. I’m the youngest and my kids are the last grandkids. So maybe it’s the typical last kid syndrome?

My son (my second born) is a few months old and my dad has yet to meet him or has any effort/ plans to do so in the coming future.

My mom has already come to visit my son for the first time without him a few weeks ago and has plans for a second trip (without him again).

For either of my kids he doesn’t call, he doesn’t FaceTime, he doesn’t ask for pics. He barely knows either of my kids after two years of me being a father. While seemingly being a great grandpa to my elder siblings kids.

While we live a few states away, he is in good health / financially secure / works for himself / has no fear of travel. So there are no excuses here.

I’m just sad about it.

Sorry for the long post just trying to understand how others would feel, if they maybe have had something similar, or just trying to get my frustrations out as I can’t imagine not showing up my kids when they need us most.
