I've been noticing recently that I am holding a lot of stress in my body. I'll be sitting on the train and realize my head is shaking because I've been clenching my jaw for the last 15 minutes. Or that my shoulders are locked up and hunched over and my neck is tensed. By the time I get home at the end of the day, I'm exhausted and my whole body is sore from being constantly tensed up all day without realizing it.
I am trying to be more aware of how my body feels and what I am doing, so I am catching myself often. But does anyone have any better ideas or techniques? What do you guys do to check in with yourselves throughout the day so that the anxiety doesnt build up and boil over at the end of the day? How do you release stress when you feel yourself holding onto it physically?
