Vilnius Trail Run

Hey everyone, I'm here once again talking about trail running in Lithuania. Yesterday I had the pleasure to run the 22km trail run starting from the capital city, Vilnius, and it was really nice.

The track starts and finish from a central area of the city, more specifically in the "Kalnų Parko ir Lietuvos Policijos Stadionas", and goes into the hills of the eastern part of the city.

The trail has some technical parts, specifically the start and the end with some harsh terrain in the middle, but is very enjoyable also for who doesn't have much experience. The rest of the race is composed by some light bumpy roads and steep climbs, mixed at times with some stairs, but there is also plenty of more straight paths. It has also two sections on the asphalt, in a great bicycle path going near the river.

Talking about the trail, the length was exactly 22km with 600m of elevation gain but also many other distances were organised, like 108km, 72km or 42km. The organisation was great and it was really enjoyable, despite the cold and wet weather. Sadly I didn't take many pictures to show all the beauty of the track.

If you ever plan to do a race abroad, I would suggest try the Vilnius Trail Run 🫡

Hi everyone! I recently stumbled across this nice pair of Salomon Xt Evr shoes in green colour in an outlet store nearby. Since it was a good price and they fit me perfectly I bought them.

Checking for some information online, I couldn't find almost ANY article and information about them. Do you maybe have any info about those shoes?

The only thing I found is this article -> https://www.houyhnhnm.jp/en/feature/964893/

Hey everyone! This weekend I will have my first pet at home for petsitting. It will be a Maltese and I will have it for a week. I am really interested in having a pet and I am so excited. Do you have any suggestions on the first time? Some tips on what to do and what not to do wrong? I'd like your suggestions and to hear your stories on your first approach to this world.

Additionally, I am in contact for a second pet to take care of for two weeks in June. It's a really beautiful dog, but I have one concern. He is a 8years old mixed breed, something like a German shepherd mixed with some other breed (something like the dog in the picture, shared from original post from @expert-field-3886). He looks medium to big size and I believe kind of active. He is probably less playful and active then a GerShepherd, but I believe still a high amount. My flat is not that big (around 50m2) and it would be a pity losing this opportunity only for this reason. Do you think that could be a big problem? Do you think that he would need a bigger house or is possible for him to stay in my house for two weeks? I know that many things depends on the dog itself and I will be meeting the owner soon, but I would like some opinion from you with those small information I know :)

Kauno Marių Regioninis Parkas

Just outside Kaunas, Lithuania, I found this beautiful trail. It is probably known by locals, especially for hiking, but I think it gives his best while running. I went a couple of times, first for a 11km round full on trails, while the second time I extended my run to 15km, with some asphalt quiet roads.

I would say it's not exactly beginner friendly (I am beginner and I struggled a bit), but it's extremely beautiful. It doesn't have many flat sections, there are mainly up and down bumps and several steep climbs/stairs. At this period of the time is super dry and roots of the trees makes it a bit challenging, but that's part of the game no? The narrow paths with the view on the lake are priceless and you can even find some deers chilling in a mini zoo.
