European tree frog (Hyla arborea)

European tree frog (Hyla arborea)

Something I've been wanting to shoot a long while, a tree frog with the milky way behind it, but the conditions have always been poor during the short breeding season so I haven't had any luck the last two year. The other night the was a short window between the clouds and I finally got it.

I take photos of frogs under stars

My own little weird niche of photography I've begun doing, I take photos of herps under stars. Here's my collection of frogs and toads.

Finally got around to look for this little beautiful and rare spider. They spend most of their lives hidden, but the bright males venture out when conditions are right too look for mates. And those conditions happen to be just right in Denmark right now.

If you want a creepy fun fact, try looking up how the female cares for her young. It's called "matriphagy".
