Anyone go with their local legal aid employment lawyers?

Do they usually take your case? Does it take a really long time?

If you hired a lawyer, but afterwards cant continue to pay them, can you switch to legal aid? I worked in a law firm before, and I saw this in the intake. Like they asked if you hired any other lawyers to represent your case

If your employer knows that you file for discrimination/ engaged a lawyer, and they terminate you, but also gave another reason, must you prove that your discrimination claim holds up?

As per title. So if in the end, it is determined that there is no protected class discrimination, you cannot say it is retaliation, and their firing is justified? Cause I'm wondering, doesnt that mean if the employer finds out an employee made a discrimination claim, they can find another reason, and then fire them, and the employee is in a very bad predicament and should not have file a discrimination claim at all in the first place? But then this means there is no protections from retaliation

Also, must you state exactly what protected class when you tell your employer, and then they fired you immediately? Eg you said you are being discriminated against, but you didnt say what. Then they fired you immediately. I feel like I made a mistake not saying the exact protected class.

Are repeated false promises under wrongful termination?

They said there are work from home options, but there werent.

Saying that they will send a message to employees notifying shadowing training for me, but the message was not sent. However, I then asked myself, and the employee asked the supervisor, so I ended up being able to shadow

Say they will get me some patients, but they kept trying to delay and did not do it

Contract states that either party can terminate in 5 days. They terminated me within a day.

They did not pay me, although the position is supposed to be paid

I just do not know how to present this to lawyers or EEOC

Is this textbook retaliation? After I mentioned employment discrimination and hiring a lawyer, the employer fired me on the spot (and cited another reason)

Is it possible to hire a lawyer within a few days for another matter relating to retaliation/ protected class discrimination?

Because I have a meeting that would determine my career or whether I will get suspended from my program or not (students face suspension in my program if they are terminated from their site, no matter what reason), and I need a lawyer to represent me.

I think I may argue aiding and abetting protected class discrimination if they decide to suspend me?

Must everyone go to mediation to receive a settlement? Did anyone settle outside of eeoc? Did you have to sign that you admit that your employers are not at fault?

Is it common to do a limited engagement with an attorney if your case is small?

What does limited engagement for this mean?

Sudden termination from the organization. Do I not reach out to previous clients to have a proper termination?

Long story short, employer terminated me for retaliation. They asked me to leave while I still had patients scheduled. Do I not contact the patients at all? USA

If the supervisor talked about the discrimination (but not written), do I have no proof?

The supervisor came into my consult room, then said can they be honest, you being "protected class" does not work in your favor

Am I screwed if this was only verbal? Should I have sent a follow-up email to the supervisor saying that "You stated xyz"
