GMC intellilink not showing message notifications anymore
I have a 2017 gmc sierra and have always had the feature turned on where I get a text message on my iPhone and a little banner notification pops up on my truck display and on the little screen on the dash. I do not use Apple car play, this is just the default system. It doesn’t display the text message but just is a notification saying John Text message or something. Now suddenly I do not get any notification on the truck when I receive a text. I have factory reset the truck system, reconnected my phone and repaired as a new device, everything. I noticed that now when I repair my phone it does not give me the option to “show message notifications” anymore for my truck, where it does give me the option on other car Bluetooth systems I am paired to. I’ve also labeled the device type as a car stereo in my phone, and also just not labeled it at all and still can’t get the “show message notifications” option to appear again. Is there a way to get around this? I’ve never used the Apple car play on the truck and really do not want to.
