My therapist is wrong. I have tried to convince myself she was right but the meds they gave didn't help me at all and when I stopped them nothing changed. She says I have ADHD too which I agree with but I feel like the Adderall was overstimulating. I know I have autism, I meet the criteria and while I don't want treatment professionally it has been a serious struggle for me socially. I also think it has influenced my behavior, obsessions, as well as tendency to get burnt out, things that may otherwise appear as bipolar. The only reason I was even diagnosed bipolar is because of a stimulant induced psychosis. Should I look into getting a new therapist?

If anyone else experiences the worst depressive episode imaginable every fall and then manages the rest of the year I highly advise you to take as many summer courses as possible to go as light as you can during that time. Could also do this for spring if your get really bad mania/depression you wanna keep an eye on. Another thing always take the late classes unless there is absolutely no other choice so you can get your sleep. Even if your a procrastinator you can wake up and do whatever you procrastinated rather than pulling an all nighter. My last piece of advice would be to commute to college, or at the very least get a single dorm. But seriously the living on campus experience is overrated and definitely not worth having episodes for. Unless your medicated to the point where you feel totally normal. Anyone else have any advice on this?
