As the title states, my sister and her toddler son just left a DV situation and are in a half way house in Montgomery. We are from Birmingham area and are unfamiliar with this area.
I am reaching out in hopes that someone can direct me to resources for them.
She is now set up on foodstamps so they have a little food. We paid her entrance fee and first week rent. Also got her a few toiletries/necessities.
But he needs more clothes, she could use some too tbh. And money. She’s a couple months behind on her car and has no car insurance. She needs a job like YESTERDAY.
She is a felon.
She has fast food & convenience store experience. Super good person and hard worker. She was recently the assistant manager of the food portion of 2 circle k’s in Pelham and Bessemer. Domestic violence and chaos caused her to leave that job back in Jan.
Any leads are greatly appreciated.
