Best place for a beginner to get ice skates?

I’ve recently started taking ice skating classes as an adult and love it but the rentals are killing my feet!

I have a wider foot which is definitely causing a lot of the pain, but I’m a bit self conscious about how much of a beginner I am and don’t want to overspend on skates when I’m not planning to be a competitive skater, I just want to be more comfortable in lessons. I know there’s a bunch of pro shops in the area that would do fittings, but I don’t know how beginner-friendly they are. I genuinely don’t know anything, not the slightest clue how I’d need them sharpened or anything.

I also have a touch of anxiety so I’m likely overthinking it. I just want to get a pair of rec skates that don’t hurt anymore, without dropping crazy money on them. I live on the west side but am willing and able to go almost anywhere for a good experience.
