Hi everyone. I wanted to share this photo of my amazing great-great-grandmother, known to the world as Elizabeth Kelly but to me simply as GG. Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1921, she lived through an entire century of change. She had a wonderful career on screen and stage, bringing stories to life with a talent that was matched only by her personal grace. She eventually traded the spotlight for a life she loved dearly in North Yorkshire. She was the absolute matriarch of our family—sharp, kind, and the keeper of over ten decades of stories. Even at 103, she remained the heart of every room she walked in to. I'm sharing her memorial today because I want to ensure that the woman behind the roles is remembered. She wasn't just an actress; she was our foundation.
