Partner Perceptive Surveys

Are the surveys actually anonymous or not?

Partner at my store claimed to have gotten in trouble in the past for being super honest about his manager on the survey. Said the DM came in and made a big deal about partners having to address issues with the DM or ethics if they feel so strongly about it and he said his manager acted like a sad puppy dog for a few weeks around him so he feels like the surveys are not anonymous at all.

Partners who only perform when management is around

I work with a few baristas as well as a shift supervisor who only perform and follow standards, and policies when the manager is around.

I’m not trying to be a narc, or be a managers pet, because I’m totally not. But it irritates me and is frustrating when I get coached daily for all these things and other partners are doing the same but not being reprimanded or coached.

So there are partners who my manager favors and loves only because they perform and follow standards when my manager is around. But as soon as my manager is out of the building they stop writing on cups, stop greeting, stop following the 5 key moments. Not only that but not marking out drinks and food items for breaks, till sharing, letting customers wait 15 minutes for their items all because other partners are hanging around chatting not wanting to help.

It is extremely frustrating especially because I have already been written up for not following the 5 key moments because that same shift supervisor told my manager they had to coach me on it several times.

Food and Activity recommendations

Visiting from out of state for a graduation at ASU.

Family will be in town for about a week.

Are there any food recommendations for around the Tempe area?

We are looking to try some authentic Mexican food (we are Mexican and haven’t had good Mexican food since visiting LA), and just any other good food spots.

We are also look for fun activities to do during the week, we are traveling with small kids so have planned to visit the zoo and aquarium.

Open to any and all recs ! Thanks.
