My wife’s best friend just drove from Maryland to Texas. When she got to Texas she told us that her phone told her that there was an AirTag following her. So she called her boyfriend and asked him about it and he said that he put it in her car so he could make sure that she made it here safe!

A few days later, I used her car and got the same alert. I checked “Find My” and found the AirTag hidden in the trunk, tucked into the felt lining. That makes it seem like it was placed there deliberately and not meant to be found.

What’s also weird is she works from home and barely travels, so it feels like it’s probably been there longer than just that one trip.

I’m not buying his explanation. Am I overthinking this?
