Our Iggy comes home in a week!

We are super excited!

He's 1yo and 12 pounds
Right now, we are leaning towards naming him Jude

We have his harness special ordered, his flea/tick prevention, and we've got 2 crates (one for bedroom, one for main room), his food that he's been eating, some beds, some belly bands... and I'm taking following 6 days off of work.

We are looking for temporary harness solutions that we can get at Petsmart, Petco, or Chewy (no Amazon please) and our entire apt is already covered in rugs as we already have 2 sighthounds.

Any other recommendations of what to get?

Venting about the process of adding a 3rd long boye

My wife and I have been on the hunt to add a 3rd long boye to our family. My greyhound does best with another dog, thus, as our whippet is aging we are doing our best to put this on our radar.

We currently have an almost 8yo retired greyhound and an 11yo whippet.

We've been eyeing italian greyhounds or a whippet as we are a pretty active family and our car can't house another greyhound :)

We've been turned down for a whippet and italian greyhound because we don't have a backyard. Yeap, you read that right. Apartment living and 4-6 walks a day isn't sufficient. We also have a dog run in our complex that our boys use.

And the Italian Greyhounds in our area go for $4500.

Yes, we'd prefer to adopt but the rules there are just as high. Heck, I work from home. My spouse is retired. We have no kids, no cats, no stairs. But, also, no backyard.

I'm at a loss. And, so frustrated. Just here to vent. I don't know if there are any answers.
