I did research before this and how this laptop would not be recommended for most users, but I need feedback from everyone considering the context I have.

My mom has an outdated chromebook and the screen is horrible looking. She is OK with it, she never wants anything more spent on her. However, she needs something nicer, it's almost for me. She would find $300+ spent on a laptop as not necessary. She only web browses,does not use any applications. I was able to snag this for $125 refurb, got it today, it's in good condition, good battery health with 175 cycles and overall seems like it was taekn care of. Doesn't run slow. I've been testing it before I reset it for her.

Now, are their any huge concerns? Understand that Apple wouldn't service it, but I don't think she would necessarily need that. She legit doesn't use it to store anything on... If it died, we'd just get her a new one.

Is there any other concern for her? Somehow this device has a CPU twice as fast as her chromebook with much more storage and double the amount of RAM with WAY WAY WAY nicer screen and UI. So in my mind, it is an upgrade and I think she will like having a more quality feeling product and she'd be happy that it was cheap. Any other thoughts? My primary concern with it being outdated is security issues? What implications are here? thanks y'all
