Howdy, howdy!

So my partner and I will be stopping in NorCal for Memorial Day. We already have camping reservations for a few nights and plan to hit up one of the Redwood parks on Memorial Day, but we are looking to do some dispersal camping in that area on the 23rd and 24th. We are from Colorado and have experience with dispersal camping in BLM/National Forest land. I know very well that Memorial Weekend is almost a no go in Colorado near RMNP. Wondering if it’s the same up in NorCal.

Is that too lofty a goal considering the bad timing (Memorial Day Weekend) and area? Should we call it and find a shitty hotel?
