Hi, I'm Lynn! :•3< I've been in the fandom since 2019, and I'm just now learning to appreciate this show on a more deeper level (mainly Season 2, that is). I've been reading S2 episode transcripts from the wiki and pretty much analyzing each character interaction and dynamic that we're given.
Why? For one, I think it was past the time for me to actually be in tune with what I was watching. Do you ever watch something, but you aren't actually absorbing the contents of it? That was younger me with Inanimate Insanity. I would see things on a surface level—character A is mad at character B or character C is sad—because I was more focused on the characters themselves on the screen. But when it came to the true depth of things,—why character A is truly mad at character B, what led up to character C feeling sad, and major character dynamics—I could never truly explain or comprehend what was going on. Kind of awkward. :,7
On another note, I'm doing this for fanfiction! It's a fundamental aspect of fanfic writing when you actually know the characters you're writing about. Dynamics are extremely important too and I find that figuring those out helps me along with ideas for fanfics in general.
So, yeah! I'm looking for someone like me, basically. Into fanfiction, Season 2 fanatic, loves character studies/analyses, good conversationalist, could give a long-winded yapfest, like Fan, OR could listen to a long-winded yapfest (with as much patience as Fan could muster [which is a lot, I hope]). Somebody kind, respectful with differing viewpoints, and fairly active online. That's about it! I'm also open to making new friends who simply share the interest of watching II too!
Brief Notes:
• Like I said, I'm really fond of Season 2 and it's my main focus right now. I don't mind if you like them, but I'd rather not talk about Season 3 or 4. They're just not for me.
• My favorite characters are: Suitcase, Baseball, Trophy, and Fan!
• Since I'm aromantic, I'm not a hardcore shipper and I label characters under a “how well would they do together during x situation” type category. I also call them pairings instead of ships. Despite that, you can initiate this as a topic and I'll happily engage!
