we are in our 40s and one of our friends' jowa mahilig mag AI just to "flex" a lifestyle.
it started with lies like putting geotags sa pics na hindi naman tlaga sila nandun (i.e. tagging na nasa Baguio sila pero wala naman talaga or one time saying nasa Elyu daw pero we know the bg is from their old trip somewhere)
recently, we find it funny/ sad na he is using AI to fake trips and even adding designer bags. medyo i find it sad but also its getting out of hand. my friend is like no harm no foul naman daw.
baka din pambawi nya sa ego nya kasi just 2 years ago tinatawagan kami ng mga OLAs bec they were in debt and they have asked us for a loan as well. we lent them money twice as a favor to my friend pero stopped when we realize nagigign lifeline nila kami. they both have good payung jobs (higher pa nga sguro samin e) so its a lifestyle creep for them tlaga.
so i guess yun ang danger ng social media validation using AI
