Google (physical) Store gaveme the wrong phone; How screwed am I?
Here are the two emails between us.
GOOGLE STORE:
My name is [XYZ] one of the managers at the google store in Georgetown. On 4/13, you did a instore pick up, mistakenly given the wrong phone. Another manager reached out by calling to correct that action and give you your correct phone. I gave few calls today to follow up with you, in an attempt to correct this by giving you a call and giving you the right phone. Please reach out me or come back to the Google Store Georgetown by end of day tomorrow if not the phone will be charged to account by end of day 4/20/2026.
Hi [XYZ],
Thanks for reaching out by email; I don't have a voicemail from the store.
That said, this appears to be the right phone... Pixel 10 Pro 512 GB. I'm pretty sure they even scanned the QR code from my order and I also showed my ID. Is it just the serial number that was wrong?
I'd prefer to keep this one as I just spent several days setting it up, even with the backup/restore etc. Not to mention applying the screen protector. My only concern is the insurance... I just want to make sure that it would still be covered on the plan I purchased.
Also please be aware I will be out of town and tough to reach other than intermittently until the 25th.
Best,
