First time setting up a betta tank, used to MUCH larger community tanks. This is a 40L cube. Just not sure what else I can do to it to make my betta happier!

I know I need some sort of a perch closer to the surface, and I’m thinking about getting a plant corral to prevent the floaters blocking the light getting to my pink plant. Also need to even out the substrate after my partner helped with a water change last night… lol

Any tips greatly appreciated!
